MamaMaven had a wonderful time at BirthFest
- the fantastic and FREE community festival celebrating Bellies, Birth and Babies, where she met many great new and expecting Moms & Dads.
Jan. 22, 2009: The Maven is pleased to announce the arrival of Baby Rowan Winter! Mama Tanis is excited to have another little girl in the house and looks forward to spending lots of time with her two girls over the coming months. MamaMaven workshops will resume in March and will be offered on a limited schedule while we tend to our growing family. We're pleased to have a brand new product tester on the MamaMaven team!
Dec. 18, 2008: CBC Television - Evening News. Tanis Frame of  was interviewed by Lisa Johnson of CBC TV for a story on Eco-Toys. In particular, she was asked how parents are to know what to buy when they're interested in toys that are easy on our children's health AND easy on the environment. Click here to view the story.
Dec. 17, 2008: With mixed emotions today we run our last workshop of 2008, and will
be taking a short break until March 2009. We are expecting a new
little one to arrive in January so the Maven will be focusing on her
growing family. She can't wait to see you again in March - so sign up

beautiful son to Christine Neilson- the MamaMaven webmistress and dear
friend. Congratulations Mama-Christine, Daddy-Aaron and Big Brother-
Jasper!
Oct. 16, 2008: Tanis Frame of to present to UBC Daycares on the Hype and Research around Chemicals and our Kids:
Together with Glenys Webster, Director UBC Chemicals, Heath and
Pregnancy Study, the Maven discussed the current leading edge research
taking place right here in Vancouver, and what it means for parents
and childcare providers. The Maven focused on simple easy steps
parents and daycares can take to protect our kids from unneccessary
harmful exposures. We're excited to hear about the changes taking
place as a result of the talk and the positive impacts on hundreds of
kids at UBC.
